Qasr Al Watan Presidential Palace
Qasr Al Watan, Abu Dhabi's presidential palace, is a prominent cultural landmark that highlights the architectural beauty and heritage of the United Arab Emirates.
The palace boasts a striking exterior crafted from white granite and limestone, exemplifying exceptional Arabian craftsmanship and the intricate beauty of Islamic art. The construction of the great hall alone required an investment of nearly half a billion dollars and serves as a showcase for traditional Arabian geometric design. The interior color palette is highly symbolic: blue represents the Arabian Gulf, white signifies purity, and yellow evokes the enduring desert sands. The palace dome is an architectural marvel, measuring 37 meters in width and 60 meters in height, large enough to accommodate a 20-story building. This impressive dome is supported by eight monumental pillars, each adorned with 23-karat gold and detailed arabesque patterns.
